The Yoga Hut
Our bespoke studio based in Gawsworth, Cheshire.
The studio, known as ‘the hut’, is built with your comfort in mind. Its interior is relaxing, private and spacious, perfect for practising your tree pose!
It’s quiet and calming atmosphere lends itself to our treatments such as acupressure massage and reflexology.
I started my initial fitness training over 20 years ago, qualifying as a gym instructor and circuit class teacher.
Over the years, as exercise diversified I went on to qualify as a personal trainer, Yoga teacher and Pilates trainer. In addition, I undertook additional training in Low Back Pain management, Pregnancy Pilates and Pilates for orthopaedic conditions.
In total, I have over 750 hours of training within the fitness and wellness industry.
In 2019, I decided to explore alternative methods of keeping my clients healthy and decided on acupressure and clinical reflexology.
I have completed a level 5 qualification, the highest level of reflexology qualification in the UK.

I have been a client of Karen’s for many years. Yoga has been fantastic for me to build strength in a very damaged knee over the last 5 years before I underwent a total knee replacement in January 2020. I have been back in the yoga studio since lockdown restrictions were lifted in July and thanks to Karen’s fantastic expertise and guidance I am going from strength to strength.
I was dubious about reflexology before meeting Karen, having recently lost my husband. I was very tense to begin with but within minutes the tension began to leave my hands and I felt a release wash over me as all the tension disappeared. Karen identified a lower back problem that I had not previously told her about. I felt genuinely relaxed in a way I had not experienced in months.
I have been practising yoga with a touch of pilates with Karen for a few years now and love it. The classes are personalised and never repeated, all classes flow beautifully from one pose to the next. I struggle with my left shoulder and Karen constantly introduces new exercises to help improve my flexibility in my shoulder. I am amazed at the progress I have made with Karen in every session. When I leave my yoga class I feel ready for whatever my day entails.
